The theme of the competitions emphasizes equality
We want to use the event to promote and emphasize equality, diversity and equity both in agility and in the world in general. That is why the theme of the World Championships this year was chosen to be “Agility is for everyone”.
Agility is an exceptionally equal sport, where, for example, the gender or age of the handlers is irrelevant in training or competitions.
The Finnish Agility Association (SAGI) is committed to equality and equity in its values and strategy, and the theme is also currently topical and has a broad impact.
However, the theme of equality and equity has not been taken into account in agility competitions before the Finnish World Championships. The choice of theme is intended to convey the suitability of agility as a sport for a wide range of enthusiasts and to emphasize that absolutely everyone is welcome to the sport.
